BIO-SKETCH

My name is U.Gayathri. I’m 19 years old and born on the 11th day of August, year 2003. I am the 1st child among the 2 children of my parents. We live in Cholan Nagar St, Nagai road, Thanjavur.

I am a 1st year undergraduate student in the School of Information Technology, School of Computing at Sastra Deemed University. To the person I am actually with or even those I actually don’t know who they are, I enjoy company with traits like mine. I love friends who always love me. On the other hand, I despise persons who are introverts (though sometimes, I am the one). I hate those who can’t appreciate things; I get really emotional whenever this happens.

I completed my Secondary Education in Blossom Public School and always ranked well in most subjects. I thought high school would be same as when I was in Elementary where me and my friends used to play after school then go home by 3pm, do our assignments, watch TV, sleep, wake up and go to school again…The normal cycle of studying. But what makes Elementary and High school differ is the weight of maturity and realization that the matter of study now is above-heavier than the Elementary and should take it seriously because what happens to you in this stage would reflect on how and what more you can and cannot do in your future years.

COVID-19 also changed my life in many ways. In the beginning, we were required to stay in home, avoid crowded places and were mask when going outside. Online school was the major challenge. Although distance learning was surprisingly easy, the internet connection and short span attention made learning difficult. Despite all the bad things that had happened, COVID led to some good things too. I have been spending more time with my family and me. Overall, COVID changed my life in both good and bad ways.

My hobbies include reading novels, listening to music, watching        cricket and web series, travelling etc.… My inspiration is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He is my inspiration not only because of his laurels in cricket, majorly it is because of the kind of person he is, both on the field and off the field. Another one of my role model is Emma Watson as her views on feminism are something I greatly admire.

I believe I have the potential to be a great asset to the society. I am a    proud feminist and hope to bring changes around me in small ways on misogynistic view.
